Titan Advantage 200 Airless Paint Sprayer Questions & Answers
I have a Titan 440i. Because I was having the
The Lower ball is probably stuck on a piece of paint on the lower ball seat.
Solution: (requires looking at your owners manual)
Smack the area where the lower ball and seat are with a hammer while running and rinsing with water.
If this does not work you will have to pull the lower ball and seat.
Did you clean pump with water, if you did did you run paint thinner thru pump? This will prevent parts from rusting or corroding.
Is there a fuse in th 440i, keeps popping th breaker?
Check the brushes these motors for ever
You could also disconnect the pistion from the motor shaft the connecting rod to make sure the pistion is not the thing that is not moveing and binding the motor .
Most of the time problems come when people don't clean them correctly after use then store then for a few years .
Now I need my pump again except the old paint is now rock hard and nothing moves anymore the lines are cloged filters guns tips check valves .
All I know is my 660 titan witch is the same as the 440 except mine has flat valves instead if balls for check valves has been working great for the last 35 years but I clean it .
My titan 540ix will not prime nor will anything come out of the return during attempting to prime
Either your bypass hose or its valve is blocked, or the pump valves or piston packings are worn out. The first thing to do is to find out if the bypass (return hose) is blocked; this can happen if you don't flush it out when you clean out the rest of the sprayer. Remove it and see if water will run through it, if it does put it back and remove the bypass valve, that's the one with the black lever. You remove it by driving out the pin that goes through the handle, using a thin drift. The black lever comes off and the base, then you can unscrew the brass valve and clean out any solid material behind it. If you put a bucket in front of the hole, you can switch on the pump briefly to see if water comes out; if it doesn't then the problem is in the pump. If it does, you have saved yourself the cost of a packing repair kit.
Is there a wrong way to hook up a compasitor
Yes definitely, it has a positive and a negative connection, you need to make sure you attach the positive to the positive power side, and the negative to the negative power side or the ground. If this is for car audio it is very dangerous if you hook it up wrong, if it's not then it's not that dangerous, but the capacitor could still explode.
Make sure you determine which side is positive and negative and attach it correctly.
