Do you hear the thermostat control clicking off and on if so turn on set about half way and remove cover from back and see or hear if the compressor and motor are running if not you need to replace the starting components go to a appliance store and buy a 3 in 1 kit and follow the diagram for installation make sure you disconnect the power before working on it. good luck and please leave me feedback so I know it works.

start by testing the defrost timer switch, usually located in the refrigerator side. this is a power on test done by slowly turning the timer shaft with a flat head screw driver. you should hear the fans and compressor shut off when it enters defrost mode, and the rear panel interior of the freezer should be warmish after a few minutes. let the unit sit for awhile, if the timer is working the fans should restart as well as the compressor. if it doesn't resume cooling? the timer is bad.
