I had this same problem, Well it's easy, just restart the whole application. Put in the disk that goes with this. If the problem persists go to the provider of the printer. Please check of the wheel on the cartridge is working and make note that some printers break after time.
I've been trying to print
Error 5200 is a print head temperature rise error according to the Service Manual. The suggested replacement parts are the print head and/or the logic board - Expensive. It's supposed to be accompanied by 8 alternate cycles of the orange and green lights.

excessive cleaning cycles can cause heat buildup, but it should cool between jobs with enough time.
Went dead when I was removing a cartridge and the carriage moved, jamming the cartridge against the housing. Power supply fuse is not blown.
I take it that you have voltage at the outlet it's plugged into, correct?
The question now becomes, is it worth fixing? Consider the age of the printer and the cost to repair it. If it is going to cost you more than 50% of what it would be to buy a new one...then it becomes a personal decision...I know this particular printer is not cheap, around $450.00 brand new and around $60.00 for used; and I realize Canon discontinued this model, too.
Anyway, if you intend on keeping this unit for a while and want to repair it yourself, see if you can locate a free service manual online for this particular model.
Unplug the unit from the outlet; open the casement up; and check the printed circuit board for any blown capacitors with a multimeter; check their resistance value.
BTW, How did you determine the fuse was not blown? If you inspected it visually, I would still check it for continuity with a multimeter or continuity tester.

i Would suggest that you check the ink and see how much you still have. If you have lots then i would try running it through the cleaning program and see if this helps it at all. Also If you do get it to work normally, you should be aware that inkjet printers need to be used weekly . If you let them sit to ling then the ink on the jets dries out, and and can clog up the jets to the point that the printer is useless.

If you are sure that the paper type chosen is correct for the paper that you are using, then it is probably coming from the print heads which are either dirty, misaligned or defective. Try cleaning the print heads as your first step and see if this improves.
