Windows 7 and Canon LBP 800
if canon has a windows 7 driver, go ahead and say yes. it is just saying that it doesn't recognize it and it may not be compatible. If there is no windows 7 driver, use the one for Vista. The ones that run on Vista are 99% running on 7. It's a great program. Make sure you download the correct bit though, either 7 32BIT or 64 BIT, this is important! (alternatively, use vista 32 or 64 if needed)

here, choose your Operative system, there is no driver for windows XP but you can use a windows 2000 driver, sometimes they work, then choose a language that fits your needs, then click on continue and choose the driver you want from the list

In the control panel of the computer, if you go to Printer, and right click that and try to print a test page, are you able to do that.
second thing when you do a right click on the printer, does it show that the printer is set as default printer. If not, then set it as default printer
