Zanussi TD4212W Electric Dryer Questions & Answers
Hi,
My Zanussi TD 4112 W
Could also be improper voltage going to unit or a half tripped breaker sending only 110v. Could be be a thermostat or thermal limiter. Could be timer or motor also. Many different possibilities
Electric dryer
Check lint filter and exhaust hose for clogs, clean and make sure it's clear.
Unsure how to access drier to put on new drive belt
Here is my own solution...
Disconnect from mains (of course)
remove top (2 screws at back near top)
Unplug electric connectors (on back panel, top RHS). Make sure note what goes where!
Lie unit down on front
remove screws (2) holding the drum spindle cover (centre of back) and remove cover
pop off the circlip holding drum spindle, and washer
unscrew back panel - hex headed screws round outside of back
Remove screws at bottom of back panel which screw into the plastic vent housing (3 I think)
Lift whole back off. (there's a plastic lip at bottom - need to pull away from this a bit) The drum spindle will be unsupported now, so don't move unit
Full access now to drum and motor beneath
Get and put on new belt
reassemble.
Actually, having got into unit, found could not get belt from local spares shop (it had closed down), so bought new drier!
My dryer is not heating
Hi, There is no condenser in this model of machine its an open vent machine so you will not find any water container etc.
For the reason above it sounds like your heating element may be faulty and needs replacing, you can try emptying the fluff filters and making sure that the exhast vent in not blocked or obstructed in any way, I have included a link --->
HERE <--- for the manual that will show you where the fluff filters are located, if this doesn't help then perhaps you will need to call an engineer out to look at it and perhaps replace the element.
Hope this helps.
The Dryer is no longer producing hot air

Tumble dryer 4212 no heat
Hello,
I take it that the belt is ok and the drum is turning. The heater comes with thermostats fitted as a complete part. There is an overload safety thermostat which is situated inside the drum and above the door,it is held in place with a self tapping screw then prise open the plastic cover and then the thermostat will pull out,if replacing remember to refit the small gasket.Have you checked the filters and exhaust hose for any blockages as this will affect the heating.
Hope this helps.
