Check to see the rubber mounts have been installed under the outdoor unit. If they are missing, sound is more easily transmitted though the frame of the outside unit to the home. You can consider whether it is possible to remount the outside unit so it rests on the ground rather than be attached to the building so that sound will not transmit through the mounting frame.

Find your owner's manual or down load a copy on line. Check the trouble shooting section and find out what the E8 code means.

Are you sure it isn't CH03? which is a code of loss of refrigerant. It needs to be looked at by a professional

clean out the drain channel and hose at the bottom of the evaporator clean the evaporator fins as ice is forming on the gunk

check fault codes. Could be many things causing this.

The window unit must be set level side-to-side and slightly tilted down toward the outside (condenser) coil. The Condensation (water) from the cooling coil (evaporator) must run toward the outside fan where it will be picked up by the fan blade and thrown onto the condenser coil to promote cooling of the coil.

Check the AC units condensation drain, it is likely plugged. When an AC is running it dehumidifies the air as it passes through the evaporator core, this creates a lot of liquid water, it must be drained off.

I'm seeing a c6 as a outlet pipe temp sensor fault. The temp sensor on the larger copper needs replaced.

Try cleaning the evaporator with evaporator cleaner. Follow cleaner instructions. LCR may also clean but it must be thoroughly rinsed to avoid slow corrosion.
If it has fan belts, inspect the belts for wear and cracks. Don't tighten until new belts are installed, old belts stretch.
