I'm not understanding what it is you are trying to say,it sounds like you are trying to describe two problems.Projector won't flash? Are you saying nothing displays on the Screen?And what just shows blue blink on it's power button the computer?Blinks and Beeps tell the technician what is wrong with your system. Notice how many times it blinks and where the blinks are long or short. There is a pattern to to blinks for example (3 short blinks or 1 long blink followed by 2 short blinks).I'm going to assume your system has a memory chip problem and when you press the power button it just blinks and nothing ever happens, not posting on the lcd screen at all.Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, Turn the laptop over and Remove the screw that secures the Memory Cover and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Check to be sure the ribbon connections are tight. If they are and the previous screen worked perfectly before it was damaged (assuming it was replaced because it was cracked etc) then you may need to return the screen and try another one.

Popping sounds are bad. Usually shorting electrical somewhere. Is the light on the power brick green? flashing? Red?
It's either a bad power brick or a bad connection in the laptop. You can buy a power brick fairly cheap, but if its out of warranty and the problem is not in the brick its probably not worth it to fix.

It is likely that the backlight for your screen is faulty or needs replacing. This is not a job you can usually tackle yourself, you will need to take it to a dealer to have the unit repaired.

It sounds like you are or have lost your backlight. In most cases this can be the inverter, it sits under the lcd panel behind the lcd bezel. Unless the unit was dropped or suffered a shock of some kind, I don't think it would be a broken ccfl backlight bulb. Check for loose connections at both ends of the inverter, sometimes these connectios get pulled because they run through the hinges and can get caught or rubbed bare. Below is the link to the service guide that will help in the disassembly. Inverters can be bought on Ebay for under 25 bucks. There is always the chance that this is the ccfl bulb, it is built into the lcd panel itself and therefore it is more cost effective to replace the entire panel then try to disassemble the lcd panel and replace the ccfl bulb. when you checked with different monitor if you are getting lines that means its and issue with the video card , reinstall the video card driver should resolved the issue

This is a common problem. The problem is the inverter. I changed mine OK. Actually I changed the inverter once and the whole LCD screen twice! Now happy with working 1711.

hello , remove any third party devices attached to the computer and restart the computer , make sure you have installed all the system files provided on the acer system disk.

have you tried restarting your computer and going into setup with F8 or whatever key it takes to enter setup for you. and check if it is enabled. if its not that then i would try to see if you need any kind of software to run it. im sure that one of those will work. If it doesnt then u need a new adapter.
