The Cold Water outlet does not work. When you push

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

The refrigerator on our Roper

Your thermostat has probably got its contacts withing fried together and it is not shutting down.
Obviously the compressor and fans are working fine. It has to be in your control. Your ice box has a mercury based control. The temp is controled by it and nothing else. It can fail by burnt out contact. (open) OR Fried together contacts (stuck together won't shut down). OR Loss of mercury in the probe.OR kinked probe. Where is the water filt located

Hello,

Searching the parts breakdown for the model# you provided i do not see a listing for the water filter so i don't belive your model doesn't have one. On all whirlpool brands, models that have a filter its in the grill under the doors on the freezer side. Other brands put it above the top shelf of the fresh food compartment. If you dont find it in either place, your model doesnt have a built in one

I have a roper side

Hi,
First of all, the ice maker is cycling, and does call for water for about every 20 mins or so. Apparently you have a water leak between the water valve and the full tube behind the unit. Turn off ice maker by lifting the level (medal arm) up until is stops. You will need to roll out the whole unit from the wall and locate the plastic tube that runs the back of the freezer side on the back. You may find you tube has either cracked or came apart. You may have to replace the tube. Your local appliance store or home improvement center should have a 1/4 plastic tube in stock, you could need up to 7 feet, remember, all piece to each side of the connection. Some use inserts and other just use John-Guest fittings are pressure locks (push in to release).
Good Luck, you should have Ice soon.... I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

Fan wobbles and makes noise, seems to be loose on

The fan blade could be loose on the shaft, but when the bearings on the motor are bad, they also make a noise the squills, if the unit is very old my guess is that the fan is bad, getting to the fan motor varies with different models, some are easy to get to, but a drop of oil on each end will buy you some time to get a new motor. Good luck

Freezer Side of Roper

Its a compressor issue. The procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes from the section, in that section the damper is located. But as you mentioned that freezer section not cooling this indicates problem with compressor.when compressor cools the freezer section then fridge section gets cold.If freezer section is not getting properly cold then fridge section will not cool properly/.So the problem relates to compressor.----------- ---------------- If the compressor is not turning on or its again and again making clicking noise. Then there is a overload relay( its also called run capacitor). This part has to be replaced first and checked. Its a $15 to $20 part. Its located beside the compressor. If you notice click click noise then first get the overload relay replaced. Then see, if still the same problem, then compressor has to be replaced.-----------

You can get required parts from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site.

----------- This should help. Thanks.Helpmech.

Ice maker will not make ice

It sounds like you might have a bad fill valve. There are several reasons that an ice-maker doesn't get water. If the freezer isn't cold enough, the ice-maker thermostat will not allow it cycle. There are two different styles of ice-makers. Pull the white cover off of the ice-maker, if you see two gears the you have one of the earlier models. Turn the smaller of the two gears counterclockwise slowly until the gears start to turn by themselves. Now if you do not have the two gears under the cover, then you have a modular ice-maker. There are several holes in the brown plate. Each hole will have a letter beside it. Jumper between the T and H holes until the ice-maker starts to turn by itself ( you should hear a click if you'll listen closely). Now that you ave cycled the ice-maker, check and see if there is water in the ice tray. If you still have no water then change your fill valve. If you do have water then its usually cheaper to replace the actual ice-maker. Be sure to check the temp of the freezer, most ice-makers will not cycle above 10F degrees. Most ice-makers are around $130. Most valves are around $50. I hope this helps you solve the NO ICE situation. Thanks for using fixya..com , please let me know how it goes, thanks mike
