1. Turn the washer off.
2. Set the mode selector dial to NORMAL.
3. Turn the dial counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT), clockwise THREE clicks (RIGHT), counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT) then clockwise ONE click (RIGHT).
4. Now press the start button.
5. All the cycle indicating lights should be illuminated.
6. Press the Start Stop button once.
7. Rotate the dial until Rinse, Wash, and Stop light illuminate.
8. Turn the washer off and unplug it for 10 seconds.
9. Finally, turn on the washer and it should now be reset.
10. Run a test load empty to be sure the reset worked. If not perform the reset procedure one more time.

Depending on model there not much, I usually hot wire mine..just take the switch off and connect the wires together with a wire nut...

Sounds like the vent is plugged up, that's a fire hazard take it apart and clean it out..

1.), Pump may be bad. Check voltage to water pump in Spin Cycle. If you have voltage at the pump, but it does not run, replace the pump.2.) If you have voltage to the water pump, and can hear or feel it running, cut power off, and remove the boot which is directly below the wash bin. The boot empties into the water pump. You will need long needle nose pliers or better, use water pump pliers to remove the straps holding the rubber piping to the pump and the boot. Remove debris from the boot, i.e., bobby pins, coins, socks, pens, keys, etc. 3.) If no voltage comes to the pump in spin cycle, you may need a new timer. 4.) Install a new belt on the motor pulley. You will regret not replacing the belt later.

Error E02 indicates that the water temperature exceeded high limit. Switch off the house circuit breakers dedicated to the water heater and then press the reset button located behind the control panel on the water heater. Switch house circuit breakers back on. If error persists, call a service engineer. good luck

If it is like the one below the most likely reason is that the top element has failed and the bottom element is buried in limescale. If it is older than 10 years, it needs draining and servicing with new sacrificial anode. If it is older than 15 years it needs replacing. I replaced mine at 21 years as it just started to leak. The top element had failed 10 years earlier and there was 12" of scale on the bottom.

First of all, the water heater is always full of water.
When you turn on hot water tap, hot leaves top of tank, and new cold water immediately enters bottom of tank through the dip tube. The tank never has air pockets as these would damage tank as explosive steam would fill that pocket ... remember they used to run locomotives with steam power.
So the tank is always full of water, and you know that since no air comes out of the hot water faucet.

You did not say if this is new heater, or if heater was working correctly and stopped functioning.

What you describe does not sound normal.

You need to have serial number and model number from label on side of tank so product can be fully identified by Whirlpool.

If control board is bad, they will know and will sell you new board.
Installation is easy, and wires are color coded.
Replacement comes with instructions.

Check the flame sensor is clean check pilot is clean and its not blocked

My first suspect is the thermocouple has failed (they should be changed periodically, every 5-7 years as they do fail). Without the signal from the thermocouple, the gas valve can not open and start the ignition process.
