I was not able to solve my problem. I called a mechanic who came and wipe out every thing and even my recovery could not work and I was asking what I could buy to restore my recovery disc.

You need to go to MSconfig and turn off all programs you do not need running when booting the computer. Run scandisc and defrag. Make sure that you have a lot of RAM memory. Scan for viruses and malware.

it is possible to recover corrupt or deleted files, but that requires specialized software. If your "repair man" formatted and or deleted the partitions on your hard drive... well then you are out of luck and have to start your reinstall from scratch.However most recovery files are stored in a separate partition on your hard drive. If you are lucky, that partition is still there and you simply have to tell your recovery cd where that partition is.

Make sure that audio is enabled in the BIOS. Check to see if it displayed in the device manager and that it is enabled, as this will prevent you from installing the driver. The VAIO Hardware Diagnostics utility can be used to perform various tests to ensure the computer is working properly and diagnose hardware issues when they occur. Follow this procedure to perform a Quick Test or Individual tests using this utility.

1. Close all open programs. NOTE: If the VAIO Recovery Center application is already open, proceed with step 3.
   
2. Open the VAIO Recovery Center application. NOTES:
   
   • If the VAIO Hardware Diagnostics window is already open, proceed with step 4.
   • The VAIO Recovery Center software can be accessed from the Start menu. Click the Start button, click the VAIO Recovery Center folder and then click VAIO Recovery Center .
   • If you cannot start the operating system, the VAIO Recovery Center software can be accessed by pressing the F10 key at the BIOS screen, but all the hardware component tests may not be available.
   • You also can access the VAIO Recovery Center software by booting the computer using the Recovery Discs. Insert Recovery Disc #1 and then restart the computer.
3. In the VAIO Recovery Center window, under Choose a program , click VAIO Hardware Diagnostics .
4. In the VAIO Hardware Diagnostics , click the Start button.
5. On the Quick Test tab, click the Run Test button. NOTES:
   
   • To perform any of the individual tests available within the VAIO Hardware Diagnostics utility, click the Individual Test tab.
   • The Individual Test tab is only available when the VAIO Recovery Center is started from within the operating system.
   • Tests can be run on the following components: CPU, Memory, Video, Hard Disk Drive, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Network Adapter, USB, CF/PC Card, and Memory Stick.
   • The CPU, Memory, and Hard Disk Drive tests are performed during the Quick Test. The Video and CF/PC Card tests are also performed as part of the Quick Test when the VAIO Recovery Center is started from the desktop.

You simply must use RAM that is more per Stick, these days you can get single DIMM's 1, 2, & 4GB Modules, so that's what one must use to "Upgrade" Whatever RAM type your RAM is, simply obtain the biggest size you wish to increase to, and Plug it in, the Operating System & PPC, will automatically detect the new RAM, and configure and work automatically.

It could be any number of things, most likely the power supply or motherboard. If the computer is 6 years old, you're probably better off getting a new computer than trying to troubleshoot and fix it. Other parts will start to go bad soon, including the hard drive, and you'll find yourself spending more money to keep the computer running.

Sorry you are having trouble. Without the ability to see the screen there is little you can do. If I were to attempt a repair I would take a new Hard Drive (HD) and install Windows on it. This would merely verify the rest of the unit is good. It sounds like a trip to the shop is needed here.

no there is no way to recover it back if you diddnt did the recovery disk when you bought your computer.
