could be a bad switch or your adapter may be disabled in "network settings" check that first

Start/Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/System/Hardware/Device Manager/System Devices/Then right click on: "Microsoft System Management BIOS Driver" and "Update Driver..."Then "Yes, this time only" and "Next"Then "Recommended" and WAITIf your drivers are actualized it wouldn't find anything.

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Remove the Power Cord and the Battery. Turn the laptop over and start removing screws from the bottom of it. There might be screws on the bottom that hold the keyboard, normally they will have the keyboard icon by them. Once you have the screws removed Look inside the battery case to remove any screws. Sometimes there will be screws that hold the keyboard and the strip that is above the keyboard inside the battery case. Next turn the laptop back over and open the lcd lid. Remove the strip that is above the keyboard. Be careful because there might be a cable attached to the bottom of the strip. Once the strip is removed there might be screws that it was hiding that hold the keyboard so remove them. Now you can lift the keyboard out, but be careful because there is a cable attached to the back of the keyboard.

Seeing as this is an approximately 8-year-old laptop, if you are getting a message that no hard drive is found, you have one of two issues.Either your BIOS has reset itself and is not looking at your internal hard disk as the boot source and the message is not hard drive not found but boot disk not found .... OR ..... your hard drive has suffered a failure and needs replacement.

Log into your computer as administrator to do this. Most likely the password is Administrator, Admin or something like that and the password will be either blank or the same as the user name 'Administrator' or 'Admin'. Once logged in as administrator you can change the computer passwords and users accounts.
