Verify that the control panel overlay is not holding the Setup button down.

Verify that nothing is stacked on top of the unit that might put pressure on the Setup button.

Disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit to turn off the all-in-one.

Press and hold the Setup button and connect the power cord to the back of the unit to take the unit out of No Mech Mode . Release the Setup button.

Paper feed messed up won't print.
it would cost a lot to get fixed most places charge like $40 just to work on them. new one that I just got is so much better than the 1610 that I did have I got a new one that hooks up to internet and does a lot of cool things. it cost me about $100.00
Turning this machine off?
The ON button (on your control panel) turns the machine on or off. When the machine is "off" a minimal amount of power is still supplied to the machine. It's like in "sleep" or stand-by mode. To completely turn it off ... i.e. disconnect the power supply to the machine, you'll have to (after turning it off), unplug the power cord from the back (bottom left) of the machine.
