It sounds like the waste ink pad is saturated or the driver is corrupt.
Look on the right side of printer where the cartridges park. See if ink is globbed on the pad below the cartridge. If it is it will have to be cleaned. What happens after the cartridges go through the cleaning process it will print. Then the cartridges park on the waste ink pad and gets plugged up again.
If it is not that it could be the drivers are corrupt. Uninstall the drivers and reinstall.

most probably there's still a bug, insect or just a small piece of anything caught between the roller or wheel after you cleared a paper jam otherwise a spring, hook tension-er across the roller is not in-place.

Hi
Check the installations of the cartridges and probably re-install them again.
Also try adjusting the colour density on your printing software.

If you are having issues using your PSC 1610 on the Vista operating system there is actually an easy workaround using "paint" (I'm using "SnagIT").

Check it out:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00809848&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=390315&lang=en

For whatever reason you can't use the actual button on the printer/scanner but when you open paint you can scan the doc from your computer.

Hope this helps!
