Need to print a fax in memory, machine was turned

It may be too late to print the faxes if your printer was unplugged. But you can try:

reprint the faxes in memory

Your HP OfficeJet can store a limited number of fax pages in its memory, with

the number of pages depending on the model you purchased. When your

HP OfficeJet runs out of memory to store faxes, it will not receive any more fax

calls until the stored faxes are printed.

Reprint Faxes in Memory enables you to reprint a fax stored in memory. For

example, if your print cartridge runs out of ink or paper becomes jammed when

printing a fax. This option prints all faxes in memory; press Cancel to stop

printing faxes you do not need.

1 Press Menu.

2 Press 2, then press 3.

This selects the Fax Functions menu, then selects the Reprint Faxes in
Memory
option. The faxes are printed from memory.

The latches (carriage perhaps) of my HP OfficeJet

These latches are supposed to last for the life of the printer.
You therefore have a warranty & service issue. Here's the HP site to look into this:

Here's the (88 page) reference manual for your HP 6110 All-in-One:

You'll need adobe reader to view/print/save this PDF file (free from http://www.adobe.com)

When I turn the officejet 6110 on after afew

Before turning the power off, please press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to try and do a reset. Then, power off, unplug the printer from both the printer and the power supply. Turn off the computer. The wait about 10 minutes, plug the printer back in to the power, then into the computer. Then start up the computer and see if the reset helped solve the problem.
You may have a hardware problem however. We will see what happens after the reset.

When I scan I get lines through the document

I assume you are using the doc feeder when scanning. If so there is dirt on the glass and I believe it will be on the left had side. Look very carefully for small dirts spots that end up being lines.

I changed my black ink cartridge, but it still

Have you tried a deep cleaning on the print head? That may do it and you can reach it from either the panel or from the print driver. If it's that blank though, I'm guessing it may be a clogged print head and may need to be replaced.

Printer says "Open Door Clear Cartridge Jam" How

You might wanna try removing and reinserting the cartridges and make sure that they are properly fitted in.
Sometimes cleaning the cartridge and the carriage where you took out the cartridges from with a damp lint free cloth does the trick.
If you still have that message, open the cartridge access door.
If the carriage is stuck at the right side of the printer, move the carriage to the left side by hand. If it's stuck on the left side, try moving it by hand in the right side of the printer. Then while the printer is turned on, unplug it from the wall outlet and then plug it back in.
If the printer does not turn on, use the power button.
Try printing again.

My hp officejet j4580 says incompatible black ink cartridge

I've been in print cartridge hell since I bought a J4580.

I spent an hour on chat with HP customer service and was able to resolve the problem by partially resetting the printer. Here's how:
  • Make sure your print cartridges are installed.
  • Unplug the machine, wait 20 seconds
  • Press and hold the # and 3 keys
  • Plug the machine back in
  • You'll see a reset message on the machine, release the # and 3 keys
  • Follow the prompts to set the language and location
Cross your fingers, hopefully your printer will print now!

My printer continues to say check the cartridge

Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached.

To reattach the cartridge check the following steps :

turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head.

Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report.

Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

How do I change the

The software that came with the printer will have a "setup" or "settings" icon. You can change it there.

If you can't find it or never installed it you can delete the printer software and re-install it and you can start from scratch with the new information you want.

I'm getting an error msg and can't print. It says

If there isn't a cartridge jam then it's probably a carriage jam:
However, I'm not too familiar with clearing a carriage jam. I just know that if your cartridges are not blocked then the carriage is likely at fault. You will need to Google this on how to fix a carriage jam.
