Turn off the printer, unplug from wall, wait 5 miutes, plug it in & turn it on. Have the same issue with my husbands 1210 & this is how I fix his about 3x's a week.

Follow the steps to align newly installed cartridges.

• When prompted, make sure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray.

• Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.

• The product prints an alignment page.

• Place the alignment page print-side down on the right front corner of the glass.

• Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.

When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete. Remove the page and recycle or discard it.Method two: Print an alignment page using the computer

• Double-click the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon ( ) on the lower right side of the Windows taskbar.

• The HP Solution Center displays.

• In the HP Solution Center, click Settings . Then click Printer Toolbox .

• The printer Toolbox displays.

• Click the Device Services tab.

• Click Align the Print Cartridges .

• When prompted, make sure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray.

• Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.

• The product prints an alignment page.

• Place the alignment page print-side down on the right front corner of the glass.

• Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.

Sadly the HP software is bundled with the ~116MB driver.. Hence in order to get all the original software you need to get the "full" driver.

If you have Vista, HP reference to the fact that the PSC 1210 printer under Vista can only work with basic functionality with the embedded Vista driver and HP doesn't have a dedicated Vista driver for this printer. Hi,'What is the Windows operating system you are using ? Like is it, Win XP, Vista or Win 7 ?If you are using PSC 1210, My suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall the software using the same disk you have for the printer.Regards,Sean

In Windows-based systems, you open the Printers and other peripherals folder. Point to your printer with the mouse cursor and right click. In the drop down window that opens check the seb-menu option MAKE DEFAULT.

How do you want to connect your printer ? via USB or WirelessIf you are using Windows 7 PC, you dont need drivers for your printer as HP does not have it designed,You can connect your Printer to PC thru USB Cable directly and the drivers will be loaded.Regards,Suhail
