Please take out the new cartridges and re-position them correctly i.e. color cartridge on the left and black cartridge on the right seating. Check that you hear a click sound when the cartridge is placed in the seating. Print a test page. Then switch off the printer for some time. Re start the printer and now carry out the gray scale printing.

I suggest you relaod your software from the CD that came with the machine if you have it. If you do not have it, then go to:

where you can download it from HP. Depending on what happens after this (hopefully it corrects the problem) will define the next step for you.

You can, but you have to change the region on your printer. If you have other control panel layout it is possible. Try to get the overlay from some HP dealer or from Service centre.

It is very simple. See on the upper part of the machine. There is page options. You press the A4 size on it.

Is it stuck and not working? If that is the case unplug the power from the back and wait about 10 seconds and plug it back in. Let me know if this helps, Jeff from fixya

ftry to re install the operating system and once it is done then try to install the printer drivers and check.

Try turning it off then turning it back on. Sometimes something gets stuck in memory and you need to flash it to erase the issue. Also check the print queue on your computer to be sure something's not stuck in there as well.

1. 1 Switch off the printer and disconnect the powersupply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands ormetal tools inside the chassis. 2. Step 2 Pin down the exact location of the jam. Thethree hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed trayand the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray. 3. Step 3 Take off the front paper tray if the sheet gotstuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammedhere, you should be able to see most of the paper. 4. Step 4 Pull on the sheet with both hands and steadypressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeperin the machine. 5. Step 5 Open the back panel to reach paper jammedbetween the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer.Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine. 6. Step 6 Use the carriage access door to reach a jamfurther inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriageout of your way to clear the jam. 7. Step 7 Return any access panels to their closed andlocked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.
