The long switch spring touches the black wire when in the off position. Follow the spring towards the tank. It has a tab (spade) for the yellow wire female spade connector.

MS291 Does NOT have an oil adjustment screw. It is an auto oiler. Make sure the ports are clean and oil is coming out running the saw with chain off. Then add a little canola oil to your chainsaw bar oil and thin it down. You will get a better flow. Stihl has a poor design on this model.

When you take the plug out, it is wet with fuel? It sounds like it is running rich and that's is why it starts first time. When you try to restart it is like have the choke in operation. I fixed your garbled question for you :>)

Hi, 1. The chainsaw has an oil reservoir which lubricates the chain in use. Using it a lot will cause sawdust to stick to that oil. Remember to top up the oil reservoir after each use with proper chainsaw oil. 2, There's probably too much 2-stroke oil in the petrol. It's not a problem, better too much than too little. 3. Top up the fuel with the correct fuel ti 2-stroke mix. I'd suggest you, or your friend use the instructions to disassemble the chain, guards & filters, to do a proper clean on this machine, to help it give you more years of service. Best of luck

Elaborate, "rebuilt"?

Check if flooded. Remove sparkplug and give the the recoil start several pulls to clear cylinder. If plug is wet, dry with compressed air or spray off with starter fluid.

Reinstall plug and try starting without choke.

There is no absolute requirement to use Stihl fuel though they claim better results, something lots of users agree with. I suggest you read the manual again to ensure you have exactly followed the instructions. If you did and it won't work there is cause to return it to the dealer. While an older machine often needs fiddling with a new machine should not. One thought - if the dealer's demonstration was very short so the machine did not warm up thoroughly, it is possible that fouled the spark plug and that would serve to make restarting difficult. It would be wise to check the plug and ensure the spark is ok...

Yes it is commercial blower

One wire is ignition module kill (primary of a magneto) and the other is ignition module frame (engine block).

The two wires run separate to the kill switch which is a momentary single pole.

start with a tune up and a carb rebuild test cdi and clean as well

More likely the starter recoil is binding.
