Usually resetting the 'Service' breaker on the main control box resolves this. If not, even though your remote receives data, you may still want to replace batteries in the remote. Try this. Hold down the 1 button and the plus and minus button at the same time for about 5 seconds. You should see all the lights light up and the screen will go into reboot and display the model and whatnot. After that see if it comes on by pressing start

When you switch it on, watch the breaker trip. Does it slowly move to off? That is a lazy breaker and needs replacing. People use breakers as switches and they are not made for that, so they wear out. If the breaker snaps straight to off, you have a short to earth. Look for water around the electrics particularly at the pump. If you can't see anything obvious, call out a pool electrician to diagnose and fix.
