Does it fault out in the beginning, middle or end?

Debris is jammed in the valve for water ejection. It's jammed slightly open. This happened to me and it was a very small piece of plastic from the lip of a tupperware bowl.

I would start by checking the drain line where it is connected to the garbage disposal. Check and make sure there is no solid build up obstructing the discharge into the garbage disposal. You can go a step further by removing the dishwasher drain line for thorough check up If it has been establish that there is no obstruction by other means. There may be a problem with the control board. I would suggest cautious approach in making rush decision on replacing the board. There is an indicator light on the top left side of the door, it's on when running and flashes for about an hour when done. There should be a reflector attached to the bottom of the countertop, with double sided tape, above the light, allowing you to see the light when the door is closed. It looks like a piece of clear plastic about 2x2 inches. To turn the dishwasher off, when not in use, you need to press the off button, and press the on button when you want to use it, that's normal for your dishwasher. The door latch might need a little adjustment. On the top edge of the dishwasher, in the center there is a small metal latch sticking out. You can loosen the screws and move the latch out, just a little, tighten it up again and see if that makes it easer to latch the door. Don't move it out too much or it could start leaking from the door seals. Also make sure the door is not rubbing on the cabinetry or countertop. The bottom basket should just have tines for 2 rows of plates, you should be able to fold one side down. Silverware goes in the cutlery tray at the very top of the dishwasher.

All the lights on my incognito started to flash. This was after the drain/intake light started to flash also. I called Miele and they helped me to reset the lights flashing. They said that when all lights are flashing that this indicates an overheat condition. They asked if my filters were clean and I thought they were. However, my wife had started to use liquid dish washing detergent and the liquid detergent had plugged up the filter screen at the bottom of the dishwasher. I cleaned it good with a scrub brushing and boiling water. This fixed the problem. Bottom line, don't use liquid dish washing detergent in a Miele, only powder.

There is a cap inside the dishwasher on the bottom right side, unscrew it and dump a full box of salt in. Clean up any spilled salt and run a rinse and hold cycle to remove any salt residue. Miele recommends using their own salt, available online at www.mieleusa.com or at a local Miele dealer. They don't recommend using water softener salt or table salt.
