If all fails you could try setting it back to factory!

Black uses much less power. It's a device for automation, so you really should not lavish the watts and attention on it unless it has to perform something truly novel.

If you really want to use the monitor though, you can use the function-key combination used to switch the display between internal and external displays.

Check your ram modules If one is bad it won't start. If it still won't come on let me know.

For that open again the baco cover of laptop pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes then put it back.
Reconnect RAM memory make sure motherboard is not ground in cabinet.

I have an Acer travelmate 529ATXV and need to change the CMOS battery. I think it is under the keyboard but I am not sure how to remove the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Please mention which hardware is not found. If you have the recovery disk you can reset the OS. If not try and restore the PC to an earlier set date.

Only way to eliminate some issues is to connect it to an external monitor. If the screen works and you get an image on an external monitor, the graphics chip on the laptop is at least ok and the fault is with either the inverter, backlight or VGA cable (probably the latter).
If you get no image on the external monitor, then you need to look at the graphics chip on the motherboard as possibly failing

To replace the CMOS battery you should first go into the BIOS and write down the settings so that you can reset them afterwords.

Now unplug any sources of power from your computer (as the picture is of a laptop im going to assume its a laptops CMOS battery you are changing) So make sure to take the regular battery out aswell

Now you must locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard. (it looks like a large watch battery)
Get a new battery of the exact same specs as the battery you removed.
Put the new battery in. Turn on the computer and enter the BIOS. Reset all of the settings and you are good to go :)

cmos is located in the motherboard. You need to remove the battery, hard drive, optical drive, screws on your keyboard to see the motherboard. Then there is a CMOS battery which is a circle shaped with silver plating on it..

have not seen this problem for years the little silver battery in your motherboard has gone bad and needs to be replaced a computer company should charge around $80 to fix ;)

Then it is the screen or cable in your laptop. all you need is the screen.
search for it on ebay.

Hello. In bios go to the boot tab and select the first to be the dvd drive

You can do a system restore START--ALL PROGRAMS--ACCESSORIES--SYSTEM TOOLS--SYSTEM RESTORE and restore your system to a previous date...you remember when the system was working fine. or Download audio drivers and reinstall it. If you still need help then lemme know.

pull the cmos cell for 15 minutes then turn on the p[owe to computer for 2 times then refix cmos cell after 15 minutes then all are defaults.
