Most problems in the crt monitor are caused by a bad flyback transformer. It is far cheaper to replace the monitor with a new one.

There is some short circuit on the circuit baord. Check it. Horizontal output transistor and LOT should be suspected.

HelloIf the monitor displays these vertical bars, after a service has been done to it, and if LOT has replaced, there is a mismatching problem with replaced LOT and the defelction yoke.

HelloSelect reset option by monitor menu, set it to default first. Then try to adjust the width and height of the screen. If this does not help you, try other resolutions set by the system.

A width issue specially if this is short of width on the screen can be due to many reasons:1. It can be a low +B which means the SMPS power supply has a lower output due to low Switching or a low value on the main capacitor. Check this out, measure the +B on the mains end and also the secondary side which will confirm.2. If the secondary +B is correct the fault can be with the sync circuit IC or the horizontal coil or even a fault with the deflection coil. A proper measurement of the voltage in this section is important.3. Check for weak capacitors and DRY soldering on the horizontal section , line output section.

Flickering on the screen can be caused by defective hardware in the computer or by improperly installed software monitor may flicker and goes into rolling state due to dust, overheating after a long continuous usage,loose circuitry or due to some electromagnetic interference with other like tv , UPS, large speaker systems etc.

FIX :

1.Try Re-installing your Video driver

2 If it is possible, connect a different monitor to the computer. If the flickering disappears, it is a fair indication that the monitor is defective, otherwise go to the next step.

3. Set up the computer and the monitor on a different place in your house. If the flickering disappears now, it is most likely an interference caused by something in the original location. Check for devices which can cause interference.

4. If the flickering persists, check the setup of your system. If available in the setup, make sure that the option Monitor Type is configured as Colour Non-Interlaced.

If you don't think any above possible reasons for the rolling or flickering state of your monitor then we recommend you to get your monitor checked by the monitor company at their respective service cente

This is a fault solution which can be checked and corrected by you assuming that there is no component failure. There is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance.The fault seems to be with teh VERTICAL DRIVE SECTION, possible that the vertical IC is having DRY SOLDERING.

The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on , If there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points.

HelloThe display processor IC [ on the neck card ] has damaged. Replace it with same number.

HelloThe problem is with some loose solder points inside the circuit board of the set. Just resolder all the suspected solder points by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder points. Note the solder points of components, that will heat up while working. Resolder these solder points as I stated earlier.

Unlock the base first. Keep the monitor upside down on a soft flannel or any thing like that. there is tow clip locks on the top portion of the cabinet. Unlock it very carefully, after unscrew out the two screws at its botton side. Pull the back cover causiously.
