JVC GR-D93AG no power

This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on FixYa.com .

LENS-CAPPED appear , even though the cap had been

Usually this message (with the cap actually off!) means that the internal iris is stuck closed. This can occur for many reasons. The problem is that this is not a DIY repair. You can try tapping the lens assembly with your finger. Sometimes the vibration of that tapping will release the iris. If that fails, then the only way to resolev it is to gain access to the assembly inside the camera. Again, this is not a DIY repair unless you have previous experience with camera repair. The internal cables and parts are easily damaged. When attempting the "tapping", strike the camera near the printing that is close to the visible lens. Please be gentle, do not strike hard, just a firm tap.

Keep us posted on your progress,

Dan

I own a jvc-d93 digital video camera and when

Please check whether the Camcorder is fully charged. Then, try resetting the Camcorder to the factory settings. Try Power resetting the Camcorder.
To Power reset the Camcorder, remove the battery of the Camcorder press the ON button(if switch, then keep the switch in ON position) for 30 seconds and reinsert the battery in 1 minute. Then, check the operation of the Camcorder.
If the issue still persists, then service will be required. It seems to be an issue with the CCD of the Camcorder.
