If only demo mode is playing,it's mean set is in standby mode.Normallyin standby mode it can't be operated.You have to power on the set by pressing power botton during demo mode.Once it gets power on,it will start to work according to user required function.If the set not get power on after pressing power botton,then it's an electrical problemand need to visit your nearby repairing centre.

Did you do anything around the rear window glass? That is where the aerial is unless you have some other type of antennae. There is also a connector plug under the dash behind the radio. Your signal isn't strong enough for some reason. Have you tried switching between FM and AM channels.
