Daewoo L700C 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
SCREEN MESSAGE - MODE NOT SUPPORTED
You have set a resolution that is too high or incompatible with your monitor.
I assume you are using Windows.
Turn the computer on and immediately keep pressing F8 on the keyboard until the 'Windows Advanced Options Menu' appears.
Use the Up and Down keys to select 'Enable VGA Mode'
Press enter and your screen will work again when windows starts.
Now go to the display properties and click 'Advanced' then click the 'Monitor' tab and tick 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display'
OK everthing and now you should be able to adjust the resolution without getting a blank screen again!
Good luck and come back to comment soon.

I have a flat screen Dawoo monitor model L10AV
cybertripp, What is correct model number from rear of unit and the date of manufacture? Not cable problem!!! You will need to open monitor and investigate power supply board for "thermal cycle fractured" solder joints on the printed circuit board. You will need large magnifying glass or low power inspection microscope (5x to 20x) to find pesky intermittant solder joints which will need to be resoldered. May also have problem with "BAD" (premature failure) electrolytic filter capacitors!! Swollen tops indicate problem!!! Lots of pictures on web. You need visit to YOUTUBE for DIY video clips of typical repairs to lcd monitor power supply/inverter supply. Then you will know what generates the 600 to 1000v ac required to light the tiny but small diameter fluorescent lamps in back of the lcd panel that is now black and lifeless!!! Do your investigation first to determine if you can handle the repair or contract out the work ($40 to $90) Reply to this response with info on just what you will do about your black screen lcd monitor. 12fixlouie
My daewoo lc1700c will not turn on. no matter how
Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Ok the issue with that is your hard drive has crashed so you need to get a new one for your laptop.
Monitor keep going to black screen while viewing.
Disable the Screen Saver in the Display Properties from Control Panel of your Computer.
A Black ScreenSaver is active in your Display Settings. Change it to "NONE" and your problem will be solved.

IBM LCD Screen turn deem
If my research effort is accurate, _dim_ LCD screens are typically caused by problems with:
-- The inverter
-- The backlight
-- The screen itself.
Apparently it tends to be a pick-and-chose effort to diagnose the problem.
I'm not quite sure you mean that the LCD display is built in with the motehrboard ... are you sure you don't mean the video card, or is this an all-in-one product?
At any rate, you may get some tips here:
http://repair4laptop.org/
They almost certainly will not have your exact model of computer/laptop/screen/whatever it is you're trying to fix, but you may be able to look at other products and see what's involved in changing parts. If it really is an LCD _monitor_ that's bad, depending on your technical expertise, patience, mechanical aptitude, available money, and such, you may just want to replace it. Or try a few parts ...
Black screen
How old is the computer? Make sure that the power light comes onto the monitor when you plug it in, should be orange and then turn green when video card syncs with it when PC is turned on. If you are getting black screen when PC is powered on:
1. Bad video card
2. Bad video cable
3. Bad monitor
1Solution: Try using a different monitor attached to this same PC and see if it works. If it does, then its the monitor, its cable, or its power supply. If it doesn't work, then its the video card or the video cable coming from monitor.
Lcd computer monitor
Have you checked out the Comnputer on another Monitor?
Are you sure it is the monitor.?
Check the data cable some times pins can get bent through rough insertion.
