Xerox XG-71D 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
Monitor goes on and off........seemed to come on
In your Windows XP
- Go to Start and click
- The Start menu will open
- In the start menu click settings
- In the settings select "Control Panel"
- The Window of control Panel click "Power Options"
- In the Power options you will find Display time settings. These are the time settings that determine the time like if your computer stay idle for 5 min, the display will shut down.
- I suspect that this time is set to be very low like if there is no activity on the computer such as key punching, typically happens when you are reading an e-book Windows will automatically shut down the display. So you can increase the idle time to say 7-10 minutes and/or a similar setting is "Put the computer to sleep". Try to carefully alter the time values and you will find a good settings that work for you.
If the above tip does not work then there is definitely something wrong with your monitor's hardware most probably the power supply. You need to check it with a repair shop.
Good Luck!

Hello,
You have a power supply going out in the monitor. You can check out some pictures on our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm If you can solder then you should be able to repair your monitor. Open the back of your monitor and look for the bad capacitors( the little aluminum parts with the tops popped open as seen in the pictures). Unsolder all the ones with the bulging tops and replace them with new caps. If you have questions just email me. If you don't want to do the repair yourself then we orrer a repair service, contact me for more info.

No Power or responce when turned on
This is a Common problem MOST if NOT ALL, problems like this with this type of fault it is invairably a problem with the Power Supply, in the PSU Electrolytic capacitors dry out and often cause this type of exact problem... It is a relitively simple fix, by replacing the caps with new ones... Any good shop should be able to fix for a modest fee.. OR if ya know anyone handy with a soldering iron maybe they could do it for you there are generally about 4 - 6 to replace... in the PS section, just do them all to be safe.. Generally most LCD's problems can be traced back to a bad PSU... almost 80% of the "problems" I find in my shop are indeed this.

Did you have another monitor to verify the problem whether it is related with the Video card or the monitor itself?

Xerox Workcentre 7535 LED's flashing repeatedly when powering up
Hai this is Arun. If your motherboard gets power but the computer not starting then there are two solutions :
- Unplug the wire that is coming from the power switch to the motherboard & plug it again.
- If it is still not starting, then remove your CMOS battery and insert it again in the motherboard.
Hope these steps may solve your problem.
Thanks.
