Stores to buy this cable?
Not exactly sure what cable you are referring to, but I would try Radio Shack, Best Buy, or Ebay.

Problems with video recording
It sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere in the unit, most likely in the CCD block. If the unit is still under warranty you should have it fixed by an authorized agent before the warranty expires. If it is out of warranty the following websites offer free estimates http://www.videotech.com and http://www.camcorderrepair.com If you are good with tools, have a good set of jewelry screwdrivers, have a set of magnifying glasses, a steady hand, some knowledge of electronics and a whole lot of patience you could open the unit up and check for any loose ribbon cables. Beyond that you would be at a loss to go any further and would probably be better off getting the estimates and then deciding on repair. Good luck.

PV-GS9 mini dv playback problem
I covered several threads that recommended buying a Mini DV cleaner and
running it up to 4 times. They also suggested to change to change your
video tape as it may have been the cause of the original problem.
These
solutions may have worked for many but not me. My camera was becoming
progressively worse. It went to blue bars and no sound to no picture at
all...just blue. After using a cleaner 4 times I became frustrated to
the point I was going to buy a new camera.
However, with the
camera still playing, I did the typical guy thing and rolled up my fist
and gave it a good hit along side of it. Remarkably it went back to
just the blue bars. I hit it again and it went back to a perfect
picture. I'm not saying this will work for you and hitting it too hard
could make things worse but I was at a point where I didn't care any
more and took a chance that paid off.

Reset switch
Pull the battery out and put it back in. See if that resets it.

Camcorder troubles
unfortunately unless you're familiar with repairing camcorders it's probably a service issue. try running it while directly connected to AC power if possible. If not, call the support number and set up service - especially if it's in warranty, though it will need to be shipped to Illinois.

Ugh...another problem
First clean the drum, use a soft head cleaning tape, that might not fix it though it seems like one of the posts is off if the cleaning tape doesnt work then it needs a simple alignment.
