Auto focus is not working, inside or outside,
This happens when the internal focus lens is off track or impaired in some way and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.
My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.
If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on FixYa.com.

I inherited my daughter's GS35
Your PC should have Windows Movie Maker installed as part of the OS. It will do the job if the Pansonic software fails.

When recording live music the
Option 1:
Check your audio settings on your camcorder. You may have an option to zoom in on the sound or record sound all around you. Try switching between either of those and see if that helps.
Option 2:
Add an external microphone
Option 3:
Try to muffle (lightly cover up) your onboard mic to keep the loud sounds from auto adjusting the volume.

My camcorder comes up with a repeated message
First try removing all power from the camera, the main battery, any power supply, and the backup clock battery. THEN press the reset button and hold it for at least 15 seconds. Then replace the internal battery if it is dead. Then if the camera still does not operate correctly, it probably needs repair.

I have a panasonic gs39 cam corder and can't
You can fit an add-on Firewire (DV) interface card to a PC that has expansion slots (not a laptop). These are available cheaply from Amazon or eBay, and other suppliers. There is also apparently an adapter to connect firewire into a USB port, but this is reported not to work well with video cameras.

My gs 35 monitor (lcd)
The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

you first need to strip both the camcorder and the lcd door to get the
actual cable out. It might just push into a terminal connector at
either end or it might be soldered to the circuit board at either end.
Once you find that out then you could probably get a piece of ribbon
cable to replace it from an electronic parts supplier. You also have
the option (if you have a decent soldering iron) to just use standard
multicore cable and solder a colour-coded set to replace the ribbon. If
the board uses connectors you would have to unsolder that too and then
make up your own cable loom using very thin cable.
It's a delicate operation requiring patience and a BIG magnifying glass
..I had to fix the ribbon cable when I blew up my LCD monitor...the
terminals are really tiny but it can be done!!
plsw rate me FIXYA if i helped
