ViewSonic VX924 problems
Remove the four screw (one in each corner) and then using a fine wide flat blade you need to prise open the case at each side mid-point. The case is clippe together with plastic lugs that retains the rear cover. I started on the right side side and clipped it free, then the top, and finally the left side and it all come away easy then. They are very tight to remove the first tiem your do it.

I need help setting up the DVI input.
Hi,
There are two ways to do this.
First and simplest is to simply shutdown the pc, disconnect the analog from the back of your PC and connect the DVI cable to the PC and monitor. When you turn it back on the PC will detect and switch to the DVI.
Second, and better to compare. Connect both sets of cables and go into your display settings, then select advanced options. You should see a GeForce tab in the advanced menu. On that tab there is a multi monitor display setup. Set it to mirror to both screens and apply.
Once it's set switching inputs on the monitor SHOULD work. The problem that makes it a "should" is that both the monitor and the video card have the ablility to sense a connection. So, even with mirroring setup you may have to use the first method as you can't have both connected and operational at the same time.
Give these a try, if you're not sure how to get into the display settings, comment back here with your windows version and I will give you a step by step

Problem with Viewsonic VX924
my hp f150 lcd started to do the same thing and i had to start pc in cd boot mode with xp disk and go to r (recovery) mode and find ckdisk program to run after reboot in regular boot mode...checkdisk finally ran and fixed hd sectors and all broken files and pc and lcd where fine...suspect it was a problem with drivers...?
Blinking On/Off.. seems to be a common problem.
I just replaced ALL of the Electrolytic Capacitors (6 in all) on my bad VX924 P/S, and it did not help. Several of the old caps were puffed-up/burst. I am ordering a new power MOSFET, Q320, if successful I'll be back in touch.
VX924 Blown Fuse
What are the symptoms? How do you know the fuse was blown on the monitor you bought? The fuse on vx924 is soldered onto the circuit board. If you have any symptoms that require power its probably not the fuse. The back lighting on this unit has a problem. Three 25v 470uf caps on the circuit board are underrated and have a tendency to go bad. Replace them with 35v 470uf caps.
Help in identifying this transistor for my VX924
Are they black with 3 SMD pads? They should have a tiny tiny number on the top corresponding to a SMD code that will tell you what they are (example: D9A means 5.5V zener diode).

You should be able to just get a new inverter or repurpose an inverter out of something else to get it working again. An inverter that powers any other CCFL bulb should work fine.
Viewsonic VX724 LCD Monitor
I contacted ViewSonic and they agreed to fix the problem as a warranty repair. Evidentially they're experiencing the same issue on many of these monitors. I had to pay for shipping to their Walnut, CA facility, they'll fix it and pay return shipping. Since it is considered a warranty repair, I think they should've paid for a round trip ticket. I don't want to sound like a cheapskate but it is a warranty repair and the shipping charge was $98.00. Ouch! Cheaper than a new monitor I spose, so I'm thankful for that. So those of you with this problem might consider contacting ViewSonic to see if they will repair this on a recall "like" basis if your warranty is up. If it isn't up yet, by all means send it back to them and make them fix it!
DELL P1130
usually the screen control potentiometer cause this type of problem, you can check the screen control is working properly. If not you have to replace the flyback transformer.
Monitor flashes image for split second then goes blank but green LED flashes as well
while the monitor is still powered on, but with the LED flashing, unplug the monitor from the PC. press the power button, and the monitor should go off, now plug the pc back into the monitor. Turn the monitor back on and it should work.
Occasionally this will not work for me, but if I repeat it it normally works
Hope this helps - my problem is intermitant so it may be different to what u guys have
ViewSonic VP2920b
Hi..there,
Well...it's only work if you had a VGA card installed. Go to the tool bar and click on the VGA icon on the bottom right hands side and look for a portrait setting. Have a nice day!
Viewsonic 19
Hi...there,
But of course...it's can. Asked him if the LCD Monitor got any power (a green light on) If it has, switch cables, if it have a DVI connection used that cable and see if it work. Still had a problems...Then the backlight is burnt out. Have a nice day!
Please tell me, how to disassemble it.
Please do not Open a Monitor, If the issue Exists with the Display Try with another Monitor ... If the same issue exist on more than one Monitor, then Troubleshoot your computer to fix it.
If the second Monitor does great then Service/Replace the monitor.
Opening the Monitor could Void the warranty if you have one upon it.
Monitor problem
Check if you have bent pins on the cable from the monitor to the computer. If you can try the monitor on a different computer and see if it produces the same problem.
IF the problem is the same on a different computer and there's no bent pins then the monitor is on way out the window.
Hopefully warranty is still ACTIVE!
Monitor problem
the most common solution is that the board inside has blown capacitors. replace these ad you should be ok.
Blinking monitor
Ok well I think ya have a Power Supply problem with ya Monitor...
But to be sure try it on another PC see if problem follows, if NOT then maybe ya Video card is starting to bug out?
But I punt for the PSU in the Monitor.. As an aside check the Pins inside the Monitor connector see they are all OK
