My panasonic nv-gs15

The symptom appears to be video head clogging. I would first try to use head cleaning tape. (use new one). Run the cleaning tape for about 10 seconds but not more and see if it resolve the problem. If not, camcorder need a tracking adjustment by a technician. Good Luck. James. For further assistance, go to www.camerarepairjapan.com

Bad quality at capturing from nv gs15 with imovie

You can try VideoStudio version 9, I use this for all my video capture and the quality is perfect but you have to have a huge capacity hard disc if you want a very exceptional video quality. By the way, my sister gave me a camera like yours just last month but she lost the CD, just want to have a favor.... if you could send me a full copy of the CD for the NV GS 15. my email address is [email protected]. Thanks in advance.

Service manual for Panasonic Handycam NV GS15

I fixed 2 cameras with same problem "Push Reset Switch"
Removed small foreign plastic object which was jamming mechanism without stripping.
In both cases a very tiny piece of one of the broken plastic 'catch' of the door was the problem.
Turn unit upside down and give it a good shake-up and it will drop off & problem solved.
Hope this helps.

How to get my PC recognize the Panasonic NV-GS15

Solution A: make sure you are using the correct cable for what you are doing (eg USB for webcam and importing photos and Firewire for transferring video footage

most desktops have firewire plug in them but laptops don't usually

to get a firewire plug in a laptop you need a PCMCIA to Firewire Cardbus (ask your local retail store for one or buy one on ebay etc.)

after that put the cardbus in your PCMCIA slot and restart

then go to Windows Movie Maker and press "capture from video device"

hope this helps!

WONT TRANSFER TO PC

You need a software program to do it with. Pinnacle Systems Studio software will work. Once the camera is connected to your pc and turned on a screen will appear asking you to use the program.

No color

Do you have a replacement cord between your tv and camcorder that you can try?

There probably is a short in the yellow cord causing the picture to go to B & W.

Jammed compartment door

I am pleased to say that my good lady wife, of 49 years standing, 'fixed' the problem ~ not once, but twice. Pat has always managed to solve such problems, and this time she was fiddling inside the compartment near the camera 'on/off' switch and, Hey Presto!, the camera now works satisfactorily. I attribute her prowess in solving small mechanical problems to a woman's intuition. I just wish I could be more precise on her success.

Displaying "push reset button"

A: try a new video tape

B:
try giving your camcorder a few light taps (or not so light, just don't break it) and then turn it off and then on again

this sometimes helps in my experience but it is not a permanent fix and I suggest buying a new camera as soon as possible

C: Somone said that leaving the camera plugged into AC for 20 minutes or so will fix it, I have tried this myself and it MIGHT have worked (I have used it a few times without any problems but that has happened before

I didn't see your specific model number listed.

You might want to e-mail support at Panasonic and see how youre supposed to get them.

A DV cable is required only if your camera is having a DV port, without which it is not possible to transfer the movies. only way is getting it done from outside professionals.
