Reg. NV-GS15, When I open
The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body. This will require disassembling the camera and LCD unit to repair and can be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be done by a qualified service technician.

Hi there, i have
You will need a firewire cable (IEEE 1934) to connect your camcorder to you pc. Before you purchase the cable you should first check you pc for the proper connections. The firewire IEEE 1934 is available in 4 pin or six pin connection types (not the typical usb). If your computer is not compatible, you should be able to pick up a fire wire adapter at your local electronics retailer (I purchased a pc card style for my laptop, recently, from Best Buy for approx. $10.00) You will also need software to edit the video (many are available for free download, online)

Keep getting line running across the film after
Sounds like dirty heads.
Use a head cleaning tape recommended by Panasonic.
After a few tries if it does not improve it would be best to take the camera for a professional clean including the tape path.

You may need to clean the head on the device. You can purchase head cleaning tapes from most stores that sell the tapes, or goto a specialist camera shop.
Failing that, open the tape slot, tape the tape out, and with a soft cloth see if you can clean the small silver heads very gently.
