I had my phone on the charger for a few hours, then shut it off. The next day I turned it on and the screen came up then all of a sudden the screen disappeared. I thought it was the battery, went to buy a replacement, but the screen did not return when the new battery was put in. It remained lit, but I could not get into the regular options.

try turning it off then on, if problem persists you need a new phone.

Either battery is too old (replace), connector is damaged (repair), or charger cable or transformer is bad. (Replace) If connector is bad youll be better off buying a new phone. Sometimes cleaning the connector can temporarily fix the problem.

You must re-install the firmware connecting the phone to computer (USB cable) running Nokia PC Suite.

You seem to have forgotten the code that you gave. Now the only way out is to re-install the firmware using Nokia PC Suite on your computer.

Either the charger is bad or the phone. Use a friends charger with similar pin. If it charges then replace the charger if not then take to phone to Nokia Care as the charging circuit is bad. Or the battery could be bad. How old is it?

If you forgot the security password, then you need to master reset the phone. I recommend you to contact your service provider to get the master reset code.

Please re-install the firmware. Or get it done from a professional. And in future do not use codes as we all tend to forget the passwords sooner or later.
