HOTPOINT WD71 ERROR E 30
Hello john walker24
Welcome
You said, you have a Hotpoint Ultima 1200 Washier dryer model WD71s and keep getting an E30 error code after it fills with water.
Any idea what the problem is?
This is what Hotpoint tells us!
E30 = A motor drive problem has occurred.Try running the programme again.
If the problem persists call for a Service Engineer.
BUT, I will tell you to unplug the appliance for 5 minutes and see if this resets the system and solves the error code.
Sometimes it is only a glitch and you can reboot and be alright if there is really no mechanical failure!!
Let me know how it goes?
Huuum,

Thank You.

To fix it switch the machine off, then push and hold the middle 3 of the 5 function buttons below the display until it beeps, and then turn on. You can then set the desired language from a menu, using the right hand buttons to move, and the top left button to confirm

Hi there,
First of all remove the door from the machine by unscrewing the
screws on the hinge than remove
clip at the top of door seal, when it unclips remove metal band, pull front of
door seal off of front panel, Pick up metal bracket. Now with the hinge attached
to door hold in place and place bracket behind the two holes fit screws and
then fit the seal and clip.
Regards
The fabric softener tray is full of water when wash has finished
The 2 probs could be related.
The first you need to do is remove the dispenser drawer, and thoroughly clean every part of it, particularly the conditioner compartment, poke clear all the tubes and apertures you can see,the problem is caused by a blockage.
The smell is related to the fact that the waste pipe is probably connected to your sink waste, you need to remove the pipe and check for partial blockage, or if it goes to an outside sink , then you need to get some kind of drain cleaner to pour down the sink..
Also , at least once every 6 weeks do a hot wash with powder, but no clothes in, this helps to keep the m/c clean and prevent build up mould and dirt inside the m/c..
Clean the door seal regularly, when you finish a wash.and leave door open and dry it
This should help disperse the smell.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
How do i change the
Hotpoint kindly omit this from the manual. Love 'em!
I believe that You hold the i (info) button and delayed start button simultaneously for five
seconds, then the screen reverts to the language choice page. The machine needs
to be switched on.
Drop me a note back if this doesn't work
Hi, The last two washes
This will
potentially sound odd, but run the 90 degree cycle with 3 dishwasher tablets in
the drum. The smell is bacterial and probably the result of a build up of
residue from biological soap powder (Which is simply bacteria that eat your
stains). Dishwasher tablets are anti-bacterial and will kill the bugs making
the smell
Cannot get clothes out meesage
Hi, E30 indicates a fault in the motor circuit, unplug the appliance and take the top off.
Either side of the motor you'll find a carbon brush holder.
Disconnect the wire to the carbon brush and take the holder out. If worn or broken, replace with new ones.
I have a Hotpoint WD62
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It really depends upon at what point it trips the breaker. During washing, spinning, drying? If it is during drying don't use that cycle- it could be the dryer heating element. A supressor is normally used on the motor to supress the effect of sparking from the commutator/brushes so I doubt very much that it is that- it would probably trip immediately all the time. It could, however, be the motor itself which is malfunctioning particularly if the tripping happens around spin time. I do think you should call in an engineer, sorry ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
