HOTPOINT AQUARIUS WF250
it may be the interlock but is more probably the control PCB in the fascia, this is not a DIY repair as it requires programming when replaced.

Where is the fillter in a hotpoint wf540 washing
Depends on the production date of the washer.
If there is a removeable plastic trim at the botton front of washer, remove it and if you cannot see a filter there, then remove lower rear panel of washer, locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum, remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.

Stuck in wash cycle
check if heating by putting on as hot wash and feeling the door. if no heat, check continuity thro the heater - modern heaters have a non-resettable cut-out in them which can cause problems.
no heat then no program advance

It is not spinning
check belt, remove top, (2 screws at rear), belt sits on plastic disc at rear of the drum, if not there it may have come off/ snapped. remove 2 screws in plastic cover and remove cover at bottom rear. if belt is there u'll probably need a new one. There may be other issues.
if it doesn't spin manually then probably need to replace bearing. clean filters etc first may be something simple. large black tube under drum to rear beside drainage. remember could get messy. if this doesn't allow for turning then probably bearings need replaced. u'll know if there is evidence of grinding on the disc that the belt sits on if bearings need replaced.
if turns manually and belt is still on almost certainly electrical/ motor issue. check using voltmeter to see if power getting into motor, if not u'll have to know how to fault find. if power getting to motor then could be brushes or burnout
probably a few more things but these are most common

Hi
My hotpoint washer dryer 1200
The cap should be just a cover cap. A circle cap with two prones opposite of each other. Try and get a knife and slide it around till you find the connection prones press in and poof should pop out. All it is is a precaution to prevent water from corroding the screw. You should also beable to buy a replace ment very cheap if you happen to break it. Hope it helps. Let me know what happens

Hi, I've got a hotpoint
Use very little detergent (HE) on a fast wash, about half the amount you usually do and set the machine to heavy instead of nomal, if yours has the settings for water level. The heavy setting uses more water. If your model does not have the normal/heavy settings, wash only very small loads on the fast cycle so that there is more water for the cycle. Also, be sure you are rinsing in cold, since cold water dispurses suds. You should also be sure that your rubber seal is very clean. I use a cloth and plain hot water and clean the seal weekly. It can build up alot of detergent residue as well as mold, etc.

Hotpoint wt540 can't get filter out
It is possible you have got something stuck in filter, and this is what is stopping it coming out, you are turning it the right way, you will just have to stick with it, and keep trying to ease it out.
Keep trying to eaes it in and out, and you should be able to remove it eventually.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.

I have a hotpoint WF250 1500 spin. It wont drain.
Could be a blocked pump or outlet hose, remove the hose and lay it down to floor level to drain off water, then remove lower rear cover of washer, and remove the hose from the pump, see if it nis blocked, couls also be a faulty pump.
