It could be an issue with the drum unit either being faulty or the internal drum counter having been reset sometime after a new drum was installed. I would recommend removing the currently installed drum unit and trying it in the second printer you mentioned with the toner cartridges that has been confirmed as working.If the problem persists it is likely to be a froblem with a fuser or another internal part that is not traditionally a consumable item. In which case I would recommend contacting Brother or a printer technician.

What it really means is that another piece of paper is still stuck in the printer, closer to the back. Pull out the paper tray and open the back to look again.

Turn off the printer and open the printer back door. Use a spot light and give look inside properly. Make sure there no paper. Some time small part of the paper creates the problem. So you can do one thing after open the back door, top side etc make the printer upside down etc. So if anything inside that's will come out. After cleaning again connect it with PC and turn on. Now give a look. If you face same problem then Un-install the printer driver and software from the PC. Then restart the PC and Printer both. Now connect the Printer with PC via USB and install again the driver & software. Then try to print and let me know the result.

First unplug the printer from the computer. Go into the device manager, under system in the control panel. You should see some devices listed as unknown device or it may have the printer name with a yellow exclamation mark by the name. Delete any of these that you see. Leave the printer unplugged and restart the computer. When it boots up reinstall the printer software and don't connect the printer until the software says to. You must download the driver from the internet while googling or searching it.And then you must run that application to make it runnable.

I have a brother mfc 7840wI first used the electrical tape trick and that worked for a while. Then got the toner low message again. I then tried the *00 trick, which works as follows:1. lift lid and open front cover2. press clear/back. "Replace Drum?" will appear on the screen.3. Press "*00" it will then read accepted and the toner low error (End of Toner Life) should go away.4. close it all up and your done.
