Hello, most of these NV monoculars uses CR123A. It a 3 volt battery about 1/2 size of AA and its girth is a little larger. Aslo, some use two AA batteries. Little information here. Some of these night visison monoculars and binoculars that sealed for water infiltration are epoxy together. stewbison

Unit will not turn on. Changed batteries

For batteries to get hot they must be in a dead short situation.

Have you put batteries in the wrong way around before you have realised and then put them into the right positions

If the power circuit of the monocular has not got reverse polarity protection you can short out components which will give you the problem you have now.

Only solution is to get someone to take the board out to see if it is cooked

I have Tasco 4x16x40 scope. The crosshairs will not adjust or hold. What can I do to get this fixed.

It is impossible to see and movement as the crosshairs move such a tiny amount. Half a millimetre in the sight is 10 feet at the target. The only way to zero in sights is on a fixed bench rest at the range. If you really think they are faulty, return them to the maker for repair. Tasco do have a Warranty and Repair Service.

How do you look though and see Star . Tasco 45-060525 does it need a light or something?

No, they only collect the light from the stars or the moon. First you have to be in a place with very little light pollution. I live in a city and haven't seen stars here for 17 years. Also you must let your eyes acclimatize to the dark. In reality, this telescope will only be suitable for the moon, but the moon will fill the Object lens and show great detail. You may also see some planets if you can find them, but generally it turns a small speck of light into a larger speck of light. The International Space Station should also show well. Here is your manual https://manuall.co.uk/tasco-46-060525-telescope/ ..

I just bought a brand new Tasco pro point red dot 1x30 and took it out of the pk, mounted it and turned it on and nothing !! HELP PLEASE ????

If it was supplied with batteries ensure any insulation is removed and they are in good condition and fitted the right way around. Check in the manual you have done everything as per instructions and if it still doesn't work, send it back to the supplier for refund or exchange. When something is supplied with batteries there is usually a plastic insulating strip to prevent a contact being made.
