Do you mean de-purged tube or de-gause tube? Image intensifiers are not like CRT where they have a gausing problem. If a spot is burnt into the image intensifier, it unfortuantely is permanent.

If you mean de-purged (gasless), this can be done by a reputable service/repair workshop with nitrogen.

There is a sneaky suspicion that Night Owl Optic has the same monocular. Now I will tell you these. This type of monoculars are manufactured in Red Star Country--Russia.

Contact your local distributor for Tasco, they are normally pretty good. Look up Tasco online for contact details.

First I am assuming you have the correct battery and it is installed. During day light you can check your scope. BUT FIRST DO NOT TURN THE SCOPE ON UNLESS THERE IS A LENS COVER IN PLACE. Most of these devices have a cover with a small peep hole which will permit checking out during the day. There should be a switch to activate the scope.

Then adjust the focus and magnification (front and eye) apertures. I hope this helps.

It is impossible to see and movement as the crosshairs move such a tiny amount. Half a millimetre in the sight is 10 feet at the target. The only way to zero in sights is on a fixed bench rest at the range. If you really think they are faulty, return them to the maker for repair. Tasco do have a Warranty and Repair Service.

No, they only collect the light from the stars or the moon. First you have to be in a place with very little light pollution. I live in a city and haven't seen stars here for 17 years. Also you must let your eyes acclimatize to the dark. In reality, this telescope will only be suitable for the moon, but the moon will fill the Object lens and show great detail.
