518 camera DXG
with how you described the issue, there is a possibility that the lens assembly something blocking its operation, you can either shake the camera to check if there are loose parts inside, or carefully open it and check if you have a loose part in the camera.
usually this is caused by the focus or zoom mechanism being derailed. and having it replaired can be the key. but if you have the service manual for the unit that will allow you to open the camera up just by following the lens maintenance section
if you have other questions regarding this or other matter just lemme know.
Unable to download pictures from DXG 503 camera
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).
No file
Files can be retrieved -through your computer.
If you have a card reader- built in or external or plug in or as part of an all in one,
If you have none of these you can try this way.
1, go on line to www.konvar. com and download PCInspector. and install the program.
Connect the camera so that the camera shows as an additional drive/camera as a drive letter [E?]
Run PC inspector and direct it to 'E' and follow through setting up a save to folder during this.
The images[if any] will be recovered. you may then format the card in the camera[do not format in the computer

Dxg503 in camera mode shows memory full. view mode
Hello,
is there anything important in the internal memory? not many pictures can fit there so I suppose probably no?
Format the memory.
Use setup mode to set the camera configurations to suit your personal preferences. Turn the mode dial to SET Mode. And select "Format"
Use the format option to format the camera memory or memory card.
Note: When you format the memory, all data will be deleted.
Now take a few pictures and see if they show up in the view mode or if you are able to get them to the computer. Let me know how that turns out.
Do not have one.
Click on the
provided link.Beside the camera on the that opens up there is a link that says "Need a manual?" open that. Follow the steps, and you will be able to download a manual.
Camera won't turn on? i even installed new
Hi. Remove those new batteries and use the eraser end of a common pencil to clean the battery contacts within the camera itself. Then reinstall the batteries. If it still will not start have the "new" batteries tested at a radio shack store, they do this for free. Joe
4 thumbs up please. ty.
My DXG 503 camera stopped working. When I go to
Hello
If the card works in another camera or another card doesn't work in your camera , the problem is with your card reader in your camera.
If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:
1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.
Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.
It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.
If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.
Please feel free to contact me if you need further information
Kind regards
Andrea
How do you get the SD card to work?
insert the card ..be sure it is not locked from the button aside...and start camera ..go to menu ..storage ..and choose the card ..on memory ..in the menu you will have options
Shutter slow, pictures blur if not on solid
This is a common problem if you are taking pictures in low light with out using the flash.
I suggest to set all settings in your menus to factory settings. Then set them the way you want. This may change some settings.
Always either have the camera on a solid surface or use a tripod when you take slow shutter pictures without the flash.
Card locked
When your camera says the card is luck and you can not captured. Open your camera and get the memory card, look at the memory card you can see there a small push button you need to slide that to unlock the memory card. Insert the back back to camera and try to take a picture if it can captured.
When DXG model 503 powers up, I switch it to
Your problem is likely due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera
which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the
camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with
a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,
steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen
into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of
the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears
the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances
are that your batteries need to be replaced because they're just too worn to properly power the camera.
And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have
a problem that requires professional repair.
