ok I'm just going to copy paste here being as this might work for you guys, I tried it my self but had no luck but my issue has slightly different behavior(led goes green for a second before dieing). any event here is what I found:

My 37" vizio I bought in Dec 2007 did this (green screen at start-up on all inputs). At first it went away by itself after you left the unit on for 15 minutes, but then 2 days later the whole thing DIED. Luckily Costco has a 90 day return policy on TVs.

Vizio tech support suggested this (before it died that is):
Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.

Our Vizio started doing the same thing after only three weeks, except it was also showing green pixel when we watched DVDs.  After checking this site and others and trying all the "tweaking" advised, I finally called Vizio's customer support.  They were extremely polite and tried to help over the phone, but had to send someone to the house to make the repair (anything 40 inches or larger earns a house call). The tech arrived on time and was extremely professional and pleasant -- he had to replace the daughter board and LVDS cables.  So far, so good.  

It's not the speakers. I usually hear of this problem when hooked up to an HD cable box. You can adjust the volume on the cable box and also on the TV. I'll bet you don't have this problem when watching a DVD.

If the problem is what I think it is, your HD Cable box is set at a really low volume while your TV is set to a rather high volume. Try setting the TV volume to around one-third, then set the volume on the cable box until it's as loud as you'd ever want to hear it. With the TV at such a high volume, you're actually amplifying any stray electronic signals that the wires might be picking up, and the above solution will fix that.

If you have a digital cable box, turn off the box but leave the TV on. Hit the "Menu" button on the front of your cable box and a setup menu should come on. Use the cursor buttons on your box's front panel to go down to the "Captions" option, which is probably set to "Enabled" and hit the right or left cursor button to change it to "Disabled." That should solve your problem.

my tv is new too and also makes a buzzing sound and i turned the DCR off and it worked to thanks for the help!!

Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.

Guys aucun signal just means no signal in french

I had this same problem. My TV had sound and the lights were on but no picture. The screen said "No Channels in Master List."Here is how I fixed it:1) I made sure that my Dish Remote was on the TV mode (when pressing down buttons, the TV button would light up).2) Once that was confirmed, I pressed 03 to ensure I was on Channel 3.3) (this was the hardest part!) I found the remote that came with the TV. I never use it so it was hard to find...4) I pressed the Input button and selected the correct Satellite option. On my TV, that option is: "HDMI-1 Satellite"5) The picture was restored!
