Download Windows 7 driver and right click on installion icon and run compatability select windows 7.

Right click and select run as administrator.

Replacement of the printer head is recommended but some times its not worth the printer value.

Is this cartridge a Canon cartridge or a generic aftermarket one? The aftermarket ones tend to fail a lot more even though they might be new. Try another cartridge to see if that helps. I feel your pain because I also use aftermarket cartridges because they're 1/4 of the price, but this is a common occurence. Let me know if that helps.

Try this. Disconnect printer from computer 2. re- connect after a minute. 3. from tools menu, clean cartridge. 4. now allign cartridges from the same tool menu. 5. complete allignment process as directed. 6.now try test print.
