either sensor needs to be cleaned or small torn of paper has to be somewhere inside.

This is probably like our color Canon copier...There is a screen with the network settings.available from the menu. Once you get the IP address, it is often easier to change and manage settings from the built-in web server on the copier. Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.x.x or whatever the copiers' IP address is.

dear If the dark portion of the page is out side of the image scanned, then there may be chance of light passing to the scanner through platen glass.Pl. check the top cover and whiteness of the flap. If the scanning through the PC has the same problem then the SHADING adjust to be done. Thanks
