The machine does not seem

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!
Good luck,
John C.

I have a hoover zodiac

Hi just read your posting.I know these machines well.To see where the water is coming from 1st remove the 2 screws at the back of the lid. This will remove the top lid so you can shine a torch around the drum to see where it is leaking. The back panel has 5 screws holding it to the frame.Pull the machine away from the wall so you can get behind the machine and remove the screws for the lid and back panel. You will then be able to shine a torch around the inside of the machine and spot the leak when it is filling and going throe a wash cycle.Be careful because once you take the panels off you will expose live wires.Be aware of the wires at all times when you are shining your torch. Please reply back and let me know where the water is leaking from and I can help you further.Looking forward to your reply.

Have just moved a 1000F, but transported it on its

service.hoover.co.uk/manuals/pdfs/AAA160.pdf

Your manual is above,
What has happened is the Float switch, has jammed and this is because it was tilted back wards. You will need to free this float, you will have to dissemble the overflow container, and reset the float.

Water left over in machine

Hiya,
firstly if it is less than 2 years old you should still have some kind or warrenty left so you should be able to have any repairs done by an enginer at no cost however if you are wishing to try to resolve the problem yourself i would 1st advise that you check the drainige pipe is not kinked or has been pushed into the waist to far making it hard for the pump to extract all the water if these checks dont fix your problem then you may have a pump or sensor issue if so just check your warrenty as most apliances come with either 3 or 5 year warrentys so you will get this repair for free.

Hope this helps

If your machine will not start or complete the programme..
  • The plug, the socket and the switch, if necessary, with another appliance.
  • The fuse in the plug.
  • That the door is closed.
  • That a programme is accurately selected.

The water does not get pumped out of the machine

The filter is to be found at the bottom front left of washer behind a removeable plastic trim, if you can see a screw in the filter cover, undo this, and turn filter anticlockwise to remove.
If no filter at front, then remove rear panel of washer, and remove large black hose fastened to drum, check for blockage here, and check the pump at the same time.

Thanks

Bra wire's trapped between inner and outer drum,

If you cant pull wire out from inner drum with long nose pliers, Remove heating element and use torch to inspect bottom of washer. Most of the time the obstruction makes its way to the bottom. Use whatever tool necessary to remove spring.

Hoover HNL 6166 6kg A+AA 1600 washing

Hi.
It is very likely you need to replace the motor brushes. These are the electrical conections in the motor that wear after a time. They are fairly cheap, uses-replaceable, and available from online appliance specialists.
Turn off water and unplug before removing top/ back pannel to access motor. ***** CHECK MOTOR TYPE BEFORE ORDERING PARTS ******

Program over running

Could be that the heater element is not working, therby prolonging the wash programme, if it works o/k on a 30 or 40 degree wash, then it is more than likely to be the j heater.
There could be other factors that could cause your prob.
Please leave feedback.
Thanks.

HELLO , I HAVE A HOOVER NEXTRA MEGA LOAD WASHING

Hi John,
it has been a while since i worked on one of these, but I might be able to talk you through it, first make sure you have the correct bits to replace. i.e. the inside of the handle and the latch match the same that is on that you can see before you go any further.
using a torx size 15 I think remove the two screws on the door hindge, and then remove door by pushing up by a 1/4" then the hindge should pull away from the machine. using a torx size 10 then proceed to remove the four screws from the inside of the door frame, ease the door pannels appart and the glass bowl and lock should be exposed. there should be a further two screws holding the latch in place, just be careful when taken these out as they may be under load from a spring, note the positions of the latch and replace all back in reverse order.
Cheers,

My hoover washing machine wont spin. I have tested

If you have checked condition of carbon brushes in motor and they are ok.Check the valve at the back of drum(turn of and disconnect power supply) this valve is situ at the bottom of rear of drum. it may look like a small plastic bottle with a rubber pipe that goes up to the top of machine. undo clip and pull it out carefully, use a pipe cleaner to clean out inside of drum and wash and rinse out valve. Replace in order of dismantling. only a small job. One tip if you can is to tip machine backwards draining out any water and gunge from back of drum after cleaning out. Good luck, and let me know how you get on.
