The control section seems to have a thermal problem, when its cold it works, then warms up(metals expand with heat) it loses a connection. Can be either a solder connection or a component, these are found with freeze spray by a qualified technician.

I am hearing a ticking sound coming from all
Disconnect all signal input cables and see if the ticking persists when the system is switched on. If it does not disappear you have a problem that needs a Technician to check out. Denon avr-3805 suddenly picture went
I called customer support and they had not heard of this problem, and could not even tell me what the "V.Off" showing on the display represents. But, . . . the problem was solved by resetting the memory - by powering off, and powering back on while holding down both the Mode and Analog input buttons. Although this wiped out all my settings, the "V.Off" on the display disappeared, and the video now works. Problem solved.
I've had my Denon AVR-2308CI receiver for 3 years
On the front display of the unit, you should have indicator icons that light up if a speaker is being used. Are there only 3 speakers lite up, or are there 5? As a quick check, make sure your speaker connections are secure, and then make sure your surround mode is set to a 5 channel surround mode. 5 channel Stereo is a good one to test with. Also, you can hit the "test" button to see if the speakers are connected and working, it will give a test signal out of each speaker independently. Let me know what you find, and I can answer more.
