All that likely to have happened is that inside the headphone socket some "pins" have bent out of shape and are not contacting. Depending on the type of socket, these can be bent back into place sometimes. But even if the headphone socket needs replacing they are not expensive and if you are any good with a soldering iron you could do the job yourself.

No speaker output from television

Check to make sure you have the TV input connections in the correct
slots. Sometimes there are two possible inputs for a TV. One being a monitor 1 and the other a monitor 2. There could also be speaker select buttons on the receiver that correspond to each.

Also check the TV audio settings to make sure the output connections are sending an audio signal, also known as external speakers.

How are you trying to connect your ipod to the Denon? i.e. What connector, or cables are you trying to use?

If nothing else work, you could try and use the headphone output of the ipod to connect to your receiver. ( Cable required would be stere pin to RCA stereo out). The volume control of the ipod will then become the gain control.

The Denon DRA-697CI stereo receiver typically uses a 250V, 2.5A fuse. However, it's always a good idea to consult the user manual or check the label near the power input on the device itself to confirm the exact fuse size and specifications for your particular model. Using the correct fuse size is important for safety and to prevent damage to the receiver. If you're unsure, you can also contact Denon customer support for assistance.
