FISHER PAYKEL REPLACING A 4 PRONG PLUG TO FIT A THREE PRONG RECEPTACLE
Inside the rear of the dryer is a row of 3 screws/nuts.
The right and the left of those 3 are "hot".
You will attach the red and/or the black leads to those "outside" 2 screws, doesn't matter which.
The center wire is white wire only, it is a ground.
For the 4th wire, it will attach to the body of the dryer, it is also a ground.
P.S. On both the 3 prong and the 4 prong, the HOT wires ( red and also black ) are straight/flat lugs.
The "L" shaped lug and the round lug (4 prong only) are both ground.

Fisher paykel DegX1 replacement cord istallation
Well, of all the problems, you selected an easier one!
Your four-pronged cord has two straight lugs on it.
These are "HOT".
You also have two more lugs, one is round, and one is "L" shaped.
Those two are "ground".
Here's how they attach.
Inside the rear of your machine are 3 screws/nuts in a row.
The outside 2 screws/nuts are both HOT, and it doesn't matter whether the red wire goes to the left one or the right one.
Same with the black wire.
Goes to the left or the right.
The center screw/nut is for the white ground wire.
The other wire (maybe green or maybe blue) should be attached to the side of the hole where the wire enters the dryer.
That one should be put under a screw on the side of the hole, fastened to the "case" or the body of the dryer.

Dryer won't heat
Since I just had a repair man out to look at mine, there are two screws--one at the front of each side just under the lid. When you remove them you can pop the top up. That exposes two more screws, one at the top of each side of the front assembly. Remove them, and pull the front off.
