here's the code. I did this with my remote and it works.
press stop twice(which is also the band button)
press1,2,6,4
press down 1 time(button below the play/enter)
press play/enter 1 time
(you should see the menu now)
brake override should say no
I was told to change macrovision to no
hit system setup twice to save and exit
hope it works like mine did

Take off the face plate and it is located in the lower left corner

Reomve are power goingto the unit for 40 Min. and then when you connect the power back up the unit will reset back to normal and reject the DVD.

Your ohm meter will not give you an accurate reading on a speaker.
It looks like the PL-300 is at lowest, 4 ohm stable. If it is a 2 channel amp (which
I believe it is) drive each speaker with a separate side (Left and Right).
You may damage the amp if you parallel or series the speakers.
