Equator EZ 3600 CEE Front Load Washer / Dryer - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Leaks near filter
It may be the drain pump that is leaking, you can open the back panel of the unit and figure out if it is so by checking the drain pump for leakage just when the pump starts to work.
A lot of water remains in machine at end of wash cycle
The drain pump might have gone bad, check if the drain pump is making some kind of noise and also check if the drain pump is not obstructed.
You can open the coin trap on he right hand side bottom of the unit and clean the same for any blockage.
Hi i ahve an equator ez3600 washer dryer unit
It may have been leaking from the drain pump and you may want to check if it the drain pump by opening the back panel and checking if it leaks just when the drain pump starts to function.
Equator EZ 3600 will not start at all.
If you are still looking for a solution to this:
it is always advisable to make sure that the machine has been installed as per the information stated in the owners manual.
On the other hand before calling a repair person you may first want to call Equator customer service which is handled by Appliance Desk, you can get their contact information on www.appliancedesk.com and do the trouble shooting with their technical department first and if they advise for you to get a repair person then and then only go for one.
Washer is leaking
Hi just went through the same thing... so you can tell if it is the pump take off back support... run it through a cycle and when it drains you will notice the pump turn on and if the water is leaking from the middle of pump the housing is worn out. You can get the part from appliance desk. Equator sold all of the repair stuff to them .
[email protected] ask for Garry don't be suprised if the part is backordered from Italy. It took me 6 weeks to get my part. Good luck happy new year
Leaking from drain hose
You need to change the drain hose with a new one.
Get a proper threaded hose to avoid the same
problem in the future.
Washer will not open after washing cycle ie
Hi:
There is a door locking mechanism that won't let you open the door during certain cycles, and it might be hanging up. After the next time the door sticks, try gently tapping on the door , near the latch area. If the door releases, you need to get that solenoid replaced,
The machine will fill with water and run through
Have exactly the same problem. At first thought it was broken drain pipe--as I found broken drain pipe searching for a fix for this--coincidence? Anyway, drain pipe fixed, and unit still will not enter spin mode. When unit gets to spin mode, there's an audible click (solenoid), and the unit will not spin or drain the water.
All else is working fine.
What part should be replaced?
During short spin cycles between rinses it doesn't pump water out
Try looking to see if the little motor is spinning the drain pump. It is in the bottom right. Occasionally I get a small metal shard which locks the pump and therefore-no draining. You can undo everything and check the pump for blockage. Then if need be, replace the mechanisim. The parts are all on line, as is the manual. or call 800 776-3538
Problems Drying Clothes
That's the way it works, kinda stupid, it would be good if it did that at first to loosen up clothes in case they're stuck to the drum but then move like a traditional dryer but that's just the way it is. BTW, here's a website with parts for it in case you need them. I never used them but just found them, I was lucky I never had any problems with my equator until now but I kinda can live with it (during rinse cycles it pumps water out but then when it does the short spins it does not, so rinsing is not as effective sinse it leaves a lot of dirty water in and then puts fresh water in and does it again, it does pump the water out during the final spin cycle though). Anyways, good luck. I bought mine in 2001 or 2002 and never had any problems except for the one I mentioned.
Cold water valve
Hi Yes I fixed it myself! lol I just tried every combo of wires that there was, and it is working gr8! Ty so much though, for having a site like this! I even called the Equator company and they could.n't tell me! Again it is fixed and thank so much! Rose
DRYER NO LONGER HEATING UP
i am sending you all the possibilities for your problem, check either of these causes ----and than let me know if it is solved----
Power from the house
Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.
Heating element
Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.
Thermal fuse
On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)
Wiring
A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.
