New Samsung Galaxy Note 10.0 battery life and charging time
Sounds normal to me!!The further away from wifi router you are the more power is needed by the wifi card.... etc etc so the 8 hours is in perfect conditions with the screen brightness at minimum and no apps running!! It's safe to say that, whatever battery life is quoted for any device you should only expect to acheive half that in the real world. The screen is prob responsible for 80% of the battery's power drain. Turn the brightness down. Stay in same room as router. close down un-used apps that demand cpu and network (wifi card) time. Shut it down completely when charging don't just let slip into standby. Also don't charge it on a cold or hot place such as a window sil. To high or low tempretures will increase charge time and will damage the battery lowering it's capacity.
