Doesnt fill with water

CHECK THE WATER PRESSURE SWITCH. AND INLET WATER VALVE. MY BET IS WITH THE INLET VALVE. CAN CHECK IT WITH A METER FOR OHMS OR CONTINUITY. THEN fuse a multi meter and check ur water pressure switch? that is what sends the machine the message to start wash cycle? You can test it with a meter and with a manual test? ( first locate it in the panel, it has a plastic clear tube hose going into it, remove that tube from its connection, now put another small tube or hose into the slot where it was and have the machine set to wash cycle with water in it. Blow into the other end of the tube. If the machine starts to wash. the pressure switch is more than likely good ( No wash- then THE DIAPHRAGM IS BAD AND SWITCH HAS TO BE REPLACED) another test u can do is Remove the hose and submerge in water. Seal one end and blow air into the other end and look for bubbles. Check for an obstruction in the hose as well. Or take the original hose tube and plug one end and blow into it AT the other end, it should be hard and have pressure, if it is easy to blow and u dont feel any pressure and it feels like the air is going out ? Sometimes they get busted open or a pin hole and release air causing the water switch diaphragm to not open. Another test u can make with a multi meter is by testing the prongs individually. # 15,16,17 (don't worry to much bout the numbers IF U GET THEM WRONG) place ur meter prongs on both out side prongs or connectors of the switch. (where the wire plugs into) take note of weather it shows OHMS or infinity ( open or close circuit) ? Now place the meter on the left outside and the middle prong, take note agin what it shows. Now place meter prong on the right outside and the middle prong. Agin take note what reading u get. ( you should actually get a reading of infinity in 1 and a reading of continuity or ohms in the other 2? Now the tricky part. Agin place a small tube or hose into the switch and blow into it, using the meter do the same test agin on all prongs. But now keep the pressure on the switch when u blow into it, in other words use ur tongue on one end of tube to not allow air to escape. When u test it agin now one of the prongs that once read infinity should now show continuity or ohms, and 1 of the other prongs that read ohms should now read infinity or open.

ASKO W6461. Washing machine won't unlock and my

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

Have you checked the pump to insure the filter isn't clogged, or do you know where it is and how to check it ? In the event it is clogged or the filter obstructed, will prevent the door lock from releasing.

This is by design, but it's easy to confirm or dismiss.

Check as follows...

macmarkus_23.jpg

Let me know if any of this isn't clear and I'll attempt to help you move forward. Once you've cleared the pump filter or ruled out it was indeed blocked or not, you can now pull the manual door lock release located in the same area.

Let me know how you make out. Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck. Please take a moment to rate the info provided for you here today at FixYa.

My Asko 6461 washing machine - F3 code

F3 problem, I had the issue on model W6461, however, judging by the amount of F3 issues posted this could work on other ASKO models If the coin trap in the drain is clear of debris, try this. Stages as follows:
1) Open drain pump door (bottom left of machine).
2) Remove black pipe and drain residual water.
3) Unscrew coin trap and remove, use a container to hold the water.
4) Leave the container underneath and make sure you have some towels ready (I didn't at the time)
5) Where the washing machine drain hose connects to the outlet in the wall or U bend connector remove this and expose the end.
6) Blow into the drain hose as hard as possible......hopefully the blockage will clear back through the coin trap.
7) Pour some water into the open end and blow this back through the drain as well.

Result:
A large lump of sludge, three of my 5 year olds small counter coins and about a litre of water (all over the floor, don't forget the towels!)

Just ran the machine now and fault cleared.

Good luck

I bought a new circuit board for my ASKOw6021

Could be a faulty door interlock.
This is a common problem of boards blowing, as the door lock shorts, and blows the main board.
Ifthe door does not lock, then it will not spin.
Hope this helps.

Moldy smell from front-loader Asko washer.

Hi

First check to make sure that the machine is draining properly and that the pump filter is clear of any debris.

On a frontloader a common place for mold to build up is the rubber seal around the door. Clean this out as well as you can with ordinary kitchen cleaner then place a heaped cup of baking soda directly into the drum and run an empty hot/boil wash on a full cycle.

Baking soda has a cleaning and neutralising effect and will help remove any build up of mold or gunge within the machine. You may need to run two of these washes before you see a solid result.

Thereafter I recommend you run a monthly 'maintenance wash' with the baking soda to prevent the problem arising again.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa

W640T2 (CIRCIUT BOARD)

I am a technician for Asko in Australia. The blackness on the motor control unit(circuit board) is probably carbon dust from the carbon brushes in electric motor.Likely problem is motor brushes have totally worn the armiture in motor or the MCU needs replacing due to earth leakage or short.Purchasing the parts from Asko should be no problem, but if you purchase and install electrical componenents only to find problem unresolved, you can't return installed parts for a refund. Also the breather hose from the detergent dispensor to outer tank can leak from tank connection when spinning load , and result in water running down outer tank and onto the electric motor causing circuit breaker to trip.....possibly damaging motor too. Goodluck!!
