I'm assuming here that this tv is being used for analogue reception because on digital you either get a perfect picture or when the signal is weak enough, nothing at all (common when trying to use rabbits ears or in poor reception areas). Assuming analogue then, when the signal is weak (grainy or snowy picture) the colour (called chroma) is automatically turned off because grainy colour is unwatchable. This is normal. Solution, a better aerial to provide a stronger signal.

Thanks for using FixYa. A plasma TV is a very hard working device. It is working harder than any TV that has been built before, and as a result it produces a lot of heat. 75% of technical problems in plasma TV's are caused by overheating problems. The problem you may have is dead driver (part of a screen) or poor connection between plasma glass and ribbon wire connector. X, Y sustain, buffer boards controls picture, fires the gas, and many others functions. When either of these boards goes bad common problems include negative image, no image, vertical or horizontal stripes on picture, turns on and than turns off, and many more. You’ll need to open the back off the TV and check for any swollen/bulged/leaky capacitors on these boards and replace whichever has gone bad. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when switched off.

If these lines are at least 2 inches wide then the problem is the display driver boards or some call them the Buffers boards, if the lines are less then 2in in wide and are very thin lines then the PDP is bad (Screen).

Your TV is only a HD MONITOR, NO TUNER. You need to use cable box with video and sound outputs.

That's not an easy question, it seems to me that the supply to the screen is faulty, if the pic gets smaller or larger when it blinks then it maybe the main power supply.....Phil

The green light flashing indicates an error code, plasma tv's cannot be repaired at home without the right equipment and service manual, the fault could be power supply, processor or virtually anything, what technicians look for is the frequency of the blinking and the time between sets of blinks, this normally gives the tech a code that enables them to go to the right area, the only thing anyone can tell you is that the processor is probably ok, you really need to get a quote or count the blinking and the timing eg: "blink blink short pause blink), and repost the fault, then we can possibly tell you where to look...Phil
