Try unplugging the washer for 30 seconds then run a rinse and spin cycle. If it is still acting up you can remove the top panel and reach your arm down the front right side and find the door latch assembly. At the bottom up it is a pull tab. Pull that down and you will release the door latch. Image Whirlpool WP8182634 Door Lock Latch PartSelect
there could be a few issues, either the evacuation pump is not working or getting power to pump the water out. or the drainage pipe is blocked.there is also a filter in the bottom of the machine that could be blockedcheck the filter is clear, if you remove it be prepaired for a lot of water coming out. check the drainage hose to ensure it is not folded or blocked.I hope this was useful.
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motorfilter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT. It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Looks like this is a known defect of this model, the repairs of this looks to be two steps, open up the washer to reattach all the cables to the main control board, or buy the updated board with a later software version and install the new board.
if you want to buy the board you can reference it here
Manufacturer's Number: 34001496
The FH code indicates a fill failure. The problem can be with the fill valves, flow meter or the pressure switch. This error occurs if the control doesn't see the flow meter turning. This usually a fault of the flow meter but be sure both the hot and cold water valves are working. Try a hot water wash cycle and confirm that hot water is coming into the washer. Check both valves and if they are working the problem is most likely the flow meter.
Also the FH error means it's either you have a drain problem if there is water in it or if if there is now water in it, make sure that both water inlets are turned all the way up. check to make sure that you don't have any water leaks anywhere visible.
Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.
NF stands for, No Fill. This is caused by 1 of 2 problems. The first and simplest is to check the screens on the inlet valve by removing the fill hoses to the washer and looking with a flash light. There should be no rust, sand, or water deposit on them at all. If there is remove it and test the machine. If there is not you will need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. This part can be ordered at http://www.reliableparts.com/, by using your model number.
Sud means ----------- SUDS LOCK (Overdose of Detergent detected during the Wash Cycle) The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.----------- to resolve this problem --------- If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objectsCheck Drain PumpCheck Pressure SwitchCheck CCU

Your washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:
Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.
The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.
Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.
During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.
All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:
Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.
Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.
Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.
Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.
Question edited for clarity.
When the power came back on, or when it went out, there was probably a brown out or voltage surge. You need a service visit. You can try and claim against the utility company for not regulating their power supply to you. Are you certain you have power at the outlets? It is odd that both would succumb to it, unless you were hit by lightning?
I assume the model starts with a M, not a W?
Anyway, you did not indicate if the washer does not do any draining ... or it just leaves a bit of water in the chamber?
No draining issue (no pumping sound):
Your washer could have a faulty drain pump and motor assembly, loose wire connection in the drain pump circuit or it could have a faulty machine control board.
Some draining issue:
It did not look like your washer model has a built in pump suction filter/strainer that is cleanable ... but there could be some obstruction in the pump suction or in the hoses after the pump. Straighten drain hoses and eliminate kinked hoses.
Watch video if you want to inspect the pump and hoses
Have you tried unplugging it for 1 hour? Yup surprisingly
that is one of the answers for clearing out fault codes on this machine. Sure hope that it works even though you don't have a code a full hard reset may do it.
Best to you.
Hello,
I've owned the same Neptune since 1999 and had this problem happen to me twice, the first time the inside molded plastic door melted through in a circular pattern and had to be replaced. The fact that it was circular indicates that something was rubbing during the high speed spin. That something was a stiff bottomed duffle bag that was rubbing on the plastic door during high speed spin. The washer was full of other clothes that didn't allow the duffle bag enough room in the washer tub, hence it pressed against the plastic door. The second time it happened I got a circular groove melted in, but not through, the plastic door... caused this time by a small child's back pack. I would make sure "rigid" items have enough room to "float" in the tub cavity by not putting in other clothing that over packs the washer.
